About KB Install
Involved where it Counts. KB Install has a vast experience of providing an extensive pallet of office furniture solutions in all manner of locations – and to some of the toughest requirements. The following case histories illustrate the breadth of its delivery and capability.
KB Install began trading in 1992. During our trading life we have striven to expand and develop our company by delivering a service that our clients can depend upon.We have enjoyed times of prosperity and survived leaner times during our 18 years, working within an industry that is as demanding as any in its desire for excellence.
We believe it is a testimony to our company and its people that we continue to develop and look forward in this marketplace even after 32 years. This continuity of service in a market that is very accessible to rival companies shows our desire to deliver a benchmark standard of service to our customers.
We currently employ around 70 people across the country delivering installation, distribution and warehousing services.
We believe that our people are the key to any success we achieve. Each individual having a vital role to play in the delivery of our service. No one person or role having precedence over any other gives us a true team ethos that is recognised by our employees and hopefully by our clients.
Our goal is the same as it ever was, continued development through excellence. We believe that this approach will mean KB Install are still operating after another 32 years
NDN Service
We recognise the fact that clients regularly have a requirement to install top up orders, handle service issues or send replacement parts to disparate locations which if handled internally would bring significant associated cost. The NDN service can professionally handle these orders at a fraction of this cost. By delivering to set geographical areas on set days we create groups of orders from various customers, effectively sharing the service cost across a group of clients.
Each vehicle has a uniformed two man team well versed in office furniture installation techniques across a large number of manufacturers. The teams and the service are available to you. Keeping service levels high whilst keeping service costs low.
Project Works
Large scale installations are managed through a number of stages to ensure our on-site team have all of the information, equipment and skills necessary to deliver the project successfully. The site supervisor due to take on the project will be given a comprehensive briefing as well as all of the documentation and plans for the job. At this point the supervisor’s idea of team and skill set necessary will be taken on board and the team allocated. This approach ensures the team arrive on site with the information and the skills necessary to complete the works successfully.
Teams arrive on site in KB uniform or in the customers own uniform as required. Solutions for waste disposal, recycling and product collection from site will determine the vehicle size and type allocated.
Compliance
Karl Mansbridge is KB Install compliance manager. Karl ensures we operate within the law in areas such as Health and safety, vehicle maintenance and driver law taking the time to ensure that all current legislation is adhered to as well as keeping an eye on new legislation coming in. We are partnered by a professional H+S consultancy who audit our procedures twice yearly to ensure we are to terms with legal requirements and legislation changes.
Karl is also responsible for professional qualifications such as CSCS and SafeContractor accreditation.

Recycling
We are committed to recycling both as part of our service offer and through all areas of our daily business operation. As licensed waste carriers we are authorised to dispose of all items which cannot be recycled. Items are recycled and handled at KB in conjunction with various business partners.
Cardboard packaging is collected in two large containers which are swapped weekly as are metal. Timber and other board materials go for shredding to create biomass fuel for local power stations.
To complement this facet of our offer we recently purchased our own biomass burner which reduces the amount of carbon miles necessary for transportation as well as keeping our warehouse warm.
Over 2019 we managed to recycle 437kg of cardboard, 2659kg of plastic and 327kg of polystyrene.
